OUTSOURCE MARKETING NAMED A BEST WORKPLACE FOR RECYCLING IN KING COUNTY
Bellevue, Wash.— The Recycling and Environmental Services department of King County Solid Waste has recognized Outsource Marketing as a Best Workplace for Recycling in King County.
Outsource Marketing was placed on the Best Workplace for Recycling list because of its commitment to growing a robust recycling program. However, Outsource Marketing goes well beyond the list of criteria by working to educate and advise its clients about the importance of minimizing impact on the environment.
“Regardless of their size, companies can make a huge difference in this world by educating their partner companies on environmental responsibility,” said Cassandra Allen, marketing integrator and chief green marketing officer for Outsource Marketing. “For instance, our clients look to Outsource Marketing for strategic guidance on a daily basis. So, what we do is intertwine environmentally responsible decisions into our strategic planning and project implementation.”
Outsource Marketing credits the success of its recycling programs to both employees and management. “It important to have top-down commitment with clear reasons why recycling should be a priority,” said Allen. “Checks and balances help, as do incentives—but most important is clear communication with all staff members.”
To be considered as a Best Workplace for Recycling in King County, companies were required to meet a minimum of 10 criteria on a list of 27. Outsource Marketing met 17 of the 27 criteria including having a designated recycling coordinator and a recycling team, offering employee education on recycling guidelines, and using dishware, glassware and flatware.
