The Top 5 Holiday Ads of 2013

By December 23, 2013October 27th, 20212 Comments

For the first time in a long time, there are several ads running during the holidays that I enjoy watching. Funny, heartwarming, jaw-dropping. There’s something for everyone this year. Here they are:

Things aren’t what they seem in “Spread the Spirit.”

In “Ship my Trousers,” Kmart strikes again with this parody of its Ship my Pants ad.

“Greetings from Chuck” one-ups Van Damme’s epic Volvo ad.

Though technically not an ad, the “Westjet Christmas Miracle” will make you want the airline to open a hub at your airport.

Apple’s “Misunderstood” might just bring a tear to your eye.

Most of these videos are going viral and have people talking – at the biggest shopping time of the year. It’s difficult to pick a favorite, but I’m leaning toward “Misunderstood.” How about you?

Nice ones patrick, I have not seen the last one till now(misunderstood) I like it a lot, nice to see that it doesn’t take a lot of money to show the Christmas Spirit is alive in all of us this busy time of the year. The young man did a great job and it was very touching. they were all pretty good. the Spread the spirit was also petty good. I’m just glad to see that the little things make a big difference.

  • Glad you liked them, Greg. I’ve watched each of these a couple of times now, and “Misunderstood” has the makings of a classic. Maybe not a Mean Joe Greene / Coke classic, but there’s something timeless about this one. Glad to see Apple’s add team got their mojo back.
